By the order of Russian President Vladimir Putin, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov awarded national honors and decorations in Smolny on the 6th of March. The awards were given to 69 representatives from the fields of science, culture, medicine, shipbuilding and transport. The head of the city recalled that St. Petersburg State University and the Academy of Sciences are celebrating their 300th anniversary this year.
Specialists from Almazov Centre were among those honored for merits in the field of healthcare and many years of conscientious work.
The 2nd degree Medal of the Order for Merit to the Fatherland was awarded to:
— Alexander Kudziev, neurosurgeon, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute,
— Ruslan Semenov, neurosurgeon, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute.
The following specialists of Almazov Centre were awarded the Luka Krymsky Medal:
— Sergey Goroschenko, neurosurgeon, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute,
— Ksenia Gracheva, nurse anesthetist, ICU, Centre for Hospitalisation and Emergency Medical Care,
— Arina Pogoretskaya, nurse, hospitalisation department, Centre for Hospitalisation and Emergency Medical Care,
— Viktor Kuryanov, cardiologist, Rehabilitation Clinic.
The honorary titles were awarded to the following doctors:
— Honored Scientist to Gennady Trufanov, Chief Researcher, Diagnostic Radiology Research Department,
— Honored Scientist of St. Petersburg to Olga Moiseeva, Chief Researcher, Research Department of Noncoronary Heart Diseases of the Heart and Vascular Institute,
— Honorary Health Worker to Irina Nikitina, Head of the Department of Children's Diseases with Clinic, Institute of Medical Education, Almazov Centre.
