On 8-11 May 2024, the 57th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology – AEPC 2024 was held in Porto, Portugal. The AEPC Annual Meeting is a world’s leading pediatric conference. Aigul Mingalieva, a resident at the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery in the specialty of endovascular diagnostics and treatment, gave a presentation on the most challenging topic in the field of congenital heart disease in newborns: “Palliative stenting of critical systemic vein obstruction in newborns with total anomalous pulmonary venous return” prepared together with leading specialists of Almazov Centre (A. Gorbatykh, I. Averkin, E. Grekhov, A. Prokhorikhin, and D. Zubarev).
The Almazov Centre's experience was highly praised by experts and colleagues from foreign countries and very well received by the conference participants, once again confirming the highest level of Almazov Centre specialists.
