The Russian Live Neuroradiology Conference, entitled “Devil Hidden in Details 2024”, which took place on 26-27 September, was an international event organized by the Saint Petersburg Association of Neurosurgeons, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute (branch of Almazov National Medical Research Centre) and Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. It provided a platform for healthcare professionals to exchange scientific information and demonstrate the latest advances in modern treatment methods and clinical research.
The conference had the following educational objectives:
— Application of important clinical research results and evidence-based medicine for treating patients with cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and arteriovenous fistulas.
— Implementation of new interventional technologies and methods for treating patients with complex cerebrovascular diseases.
— Integration of advancements in diagnostic assessment and therapy for patients with carotid, vertebral, and intracranial artery diseases.
— Adoption of appropriate pharmacological approaches for treating patients undergoing diagnostic angiography and surgical treatment before, during, and after catheterization.
— Enhancing the safety of the workflow in the angiography room, sharing knowledge between doctors, technicians, and nurses.
The conference featured:
• presentations,
• live broadcasts of surgeries from the RG-operating rooms of the Polenov Neurosurgical Institute and partner clinics to the conference hall,
• live case discussions and real-time patient treatment scenarios.
The residents of the Department of Neurosurgery learned about the advancements in modern treatment modalities and clinical research.
