The RUR rating agency published the latest edition of their RUR Subject Rankings. It evaluates performance of world’s leading higher education institutions by 6 broad subject areas: Humanities, Life Sciences, Medical Sciences, Natural Sciences, Technical Sciences, Social Sciences. All universities are assessed by 20 indicators and 4 key areas of university activities: Teaching, Research, International Diversity and Financial Sustainability.
The new edition of the Medical Sciences subject ranking encompasses 752 of the world's leading universities from 80 countries, including 44 Russian universities.
In the global ranking for medical sciences, Almazov Centre moved up to 362nd place (bronze league), among Russian universities – to 9th place (bronze league), compared to 460th and 13th place last year.
In 2024, Almazov Centre achieved high scores in the Teaching Ranking (236th in the world, 12th in Russia) and Financial Sustainability Ranking (33rd in the world, 2nd in Russia), strengthening its position in the silver and diamond leagues of universities respectively. Almazov Centre also entered the top ten Russian universities for Research, ranking 10th and improving its position compared to last year.
