On November 24 -27 Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery, Moscow hosted the XIX All-Russian Congress of Cardiovascular Surgeons of Russia.

Federal Almazov Medical Centre Director E. Shlyakhto was awarded a Medal of V. I. Bourakovsky.

Each year this honor awards outstanding professionals who achieved significant success in the field of cardiovascular surgery and related disciplines. The ceremony was attended by leading cardiologists from all over Russia.

The scientific program of the congress highlighted the wide range of topical issues of modern cardiovascular surgery, cardiology, anesthesiology and intensive care and nursing.

Within the XIX All-Russian Congress of Cardiovascular Surgeons the 12th Scientific Conference on the history of surgery “Surgical collection of medical museums in Russia and CIS countries” was held, it was also dedicated to the 100th anniversary of academician Amosov and the 10th anniversary of the Cardiovascular Surgery Museum of Bakoulev Center.
