The 5th ENEA Workshop covered the following topics:
- Prolactin, dopamine and neuroendocrine regulation of the reproductive function
- Metabolic effects of prolactin
- Differential diagnostics of hyperprolactinemia
- Hyperprolactinemia and prolactinoma therapy
- Aggressive and resistant prolactinomas
- Treatment complications
- Fertility and pregnancy in endocrine disorders
The workshop included European Young Research Council symposium and a poster session.
During the workshop ENEA award ceremony took place. The Rolf Gaillard Prize for outstanding lifetime contribution to the field of neuroendocrinology from the the “Fondation pour la recherche en Endocrinologie, Diabétologie et Métabolisme” founded by Rolf Gaillard in Lausanne (Switzerland) is awarded to an ENEA member who made substantial advances in basic and/or clinical neuroendocrine research.
In 2017, the prize was awarded to Prof. Albert Beckers, Belgium. It was given by Alberto Pereira, President of the European Neuroendocrine Association and Dr. Olivier Gaillard, President of the Fondation pour la recherche en Endocrinologie, Diabetologie et Metabolisme.
