On May 5, 2017, cardiologists of the Federal Almazov Centre under the aegis of the Russian Society of Cardiology measured blood pressure and identified hypertension risk factors in patients in the clinic and their relatives as well as staff members who did not check the pressure for a year or more. 118 people were screened.
The main task of the event was to draw attention to the problem of elevated blood pressure and increase awareness as the key issue in the fight against high BP.
The event was organized in the framework of the project MAY MEASUREMENT MONTH 2017 (MMM17) by the International Society of Hypertension and the World Hypertension League. During May 2017, it is planned to measure blood pressure in 25 million people worldwide.
