On November 27-28, the first master class on bariatric surgery and minimally invasive colorectal surgery in large laboratory animals (pigs) was held at the Pre-clinical Translational Research Centre.
The master class consisted of two parts: practical training and lectures. The training course was aimed at improving theoretical knowledge and professional practical skills for independent work in bariatric surgery and mini-invasive coloproctology.
In the experimental operating room, the surgeons trained on large laboratory animals to improve the skills in machine stitch, working with modern stitching devices and instruments for tissue separation, TME and CME principles, surgical techniques (longitudinal gastrectomy, gastric banding, various types of bypass surgery, laparoscopic right-sided and left-sided hemicolectomy, minimally invasive rectal resections).
All master class participants received the diplomas.
