From April 15 to 18, Saint Petersburg hosted the 18th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Neurosurgery Conference with international participation Polenov's Readings.
This is a major neurosurgery event covering diverse topics of neurosurgery and related fields: neurology, neurophysiology, intensive care neurology, neurorehabilitation and fundamental neuroscience. This is a venue to discuss the most advanced treatment approaches in neurology and present new technologies.
Polenov Neurosurgical Institute (branch of Almazov Centre since 2014) has been holding scientific and practical conferences in various regions of Russia for many years. Polenov's Readings is a long established and reputable neurosurgery event that serves as a platform for best practice and knowledge sharing.

This year’s conference brought together 750 participants from Russia and other countries: Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Germany, Italy, Israel, India, USA, etc.
The Park Inn Pribaltiyskaya Hotel was the venue for the first three days of the Conference. The programme featured plenary, break-out sessions, round table discussions and symposia where participants could present their experience in various aspects of prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation in neurosurgery.

The Conference included a meeting of the leading pediatric neurosurgeons and the regular session of the Board of the Russian Neurosurgical Association. During the meeting, the members of the Board discussed the issues related to educational activities, the publication of clinical guidelines, summed up the activities of neurosurgical institutions from different regions of Russia.
On the last day, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute was the venue for two workshops: Using non-adhesive embolizing agents in the treatment of high-flow shunt processes and Endovascular surgery for spinal vascular malformations.
