ASIA-PCR Congress is the flagship educational meeting for the cardiovascular and interventional community in the Asia-Pacific region. This year’s event took place from 4th to 6th July in Singapore and brought together more than 2,500 participants from all over the world.
At the Best Abstracts session, Narek Marukyan, the specialist of Endovascular Surgery Department at Almazov Centre, presented the results of his own experience in endovascular treatment for chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH).
Good outcomes and experience of Almazov Centre in treating patients with CTEPH are of interest to the global community because today there is little convincing evidence that such surgery is effective and safe. The presentation was followed by a lively discussion with Japanese colleagues who are pioneers in this field. Participation of our specialists in such events contributes to the development of scientific potential opening up new paths for the development of endovascular surgery.
