The Congress took place from June 29 to July 2 in Oslo, Norway. It featured sessions with the participation of leading European neurologists, discussions of standards for neurological care, lectures on relevant topics such as vascular neurology, neuromuscular and demyelinating disease, disorders of sleep and consciousness, and neuroinfections.
The congress participants had an opportunity to answer speaker’s questions by way of online voting, turn some lectures into discussions and attend workshops. Patients were invited to attend clinical case discussions. Clinical cases were examined and discussed in lecture halls.
The specialists of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute presented three posters and gave one presentation.
S. Kondratiev, senior researcher of the MCS Research Group at Polenov Neurosurgical Institute presented the results on clinical testing of translingual stimulation in the rehabilitation of patients after removal of giant schwannomas and presented a poster “Disorders of consciousness after anti-NMDA receptor encephalitis”.
Also, posters were presented by two residents of Neurology and Diagnostic Radiology Departments of Almazov Centre: I. Ternovykh (“Long-term polysomnography and melatonin levels in DOC patients as predicting the recovery of consciousness”) and T. Bukkieva (“Magnetic resonance spectroscopy data in functional prognosis of Unresponsive Wakefulness Syndrome patients”).
