From October 31 to November 1, Almazov Centre held the scientific and practical conference Modern CT and MRI Technologies in Cardiology and the Workshop on Cardiac CT and MRI.
The conference programme was aimed at highlighting the topical issues of using modern CT and MRI technologies in cardiology. The leading experts from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kemerovo as well as from Austria presented their achievements.
The conference featured presentations and discussions on the following topics:
- Diagnostic radiology for coronary heart diseases
- CT scanning of heart defects and diseases of major vessels
- MRI scanning for myocarditis, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy
The workshops covered a wide range of issues devoted to the use of modern CT and MRI techniques in assessing myocardial perfusion, planning surgical interventions, diagnosing pulmonary embolism and iron overload using dual-energy CT, MRI, and other topical issues.
The conference brought together more than 300 specialists, including radiologists, ultrasound specialists, cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, pediatricians, and general practitioners.
