On October 15–18, Almazov Centre hosted the Regional Forum of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery.
The Forum featured the Saint Petersburg School of Arrhythmology 2019 on October 15 to 17. It was dedicated to the topical issues of diagnosis, drug therapy and interventional treatment of heart rhythm and conduction disorders and included breakout sessions, workshops and round tables.
Chief visiting cardiologists of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation – the Northwestern, North Caucasian, Southern and Volga federal districts, chief visiting cardiovascular surgeons and specialists in X-ray endovascular diagnostic and treatment methods from the Northwestern and Southern federal districts, chiefs and leading specialists of specialized research facilities and universities, leading scientists, representatives of professional medical societies and associations took part in the plenary session of the Regional Forum on October 18. The participants of the meeting presented the best practices of regional personnel policy, the implementation of projects to optimize care for patients with high cardiac risk and IT development for healthcare automation taking into account regional specifics.
The Forum was a venue to discuss the hot topics and ensure further effective interaction for the efficient implementation of regional projects to prevent and control cardiovascular diseases.
