On 6 September, a scientific and practical conference Current Challenges and Solutions in Endocrinology took place in Beslan (Republic of North Ossetia). The conference was held as part of the 10th anniversary of the North Caucasian Multidisciplinary Medical Centre in Beslan.
The leading Russian experts discussed the current problems of modern endocrinology.
Tatyana Karonova, MD, DSc, chief researcher, head of the Research Laboratory for Clinical Endocrinology and Professor of Internal Medicine Department took part in the conference.
In her presentation entitled “The role of vitamin D supplements in the treatment of hyper- and hypoparathyroidism” Dr. Karonova presented the modern aspects of the diagnosis and treatment of primary hypoparathyroidism. After the presentation, complicated cases of parathyroid diseases were discussed.
