On September 11–13, Moscow hosted the 5th Anniversary Russian Congress of Laboratory Medicine, a major professional event in the field of laboratory medicine.
Ten specialists and PhD students of Almazov Centre took part in the Congress. They held 2 independent symposia and delivered 15 presentations.
The event was organized by the Federation of Laboratory Medicine with support from the Russian Ministry of Health, Russian Ministry for Industry and Trade, Moscow Department of Health, National Medical Chamber of Russia, All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium Business OPORA RUSSIA, International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC).
The event brought together more than 9,000 participants, including laboratory medicine specialists and clinicians, public health officials, representatives of science and industry from all Russian regions (625 cities).
The Congress featured 72 scientific and practical sessions, 6 round table and panel discussions, 36 satellite symposia and workshops with the participation of over 450 Russian and foreign speakers. This year’s event attracted more foreign colleagues: 480 specialists in laboratory medicine from 16 countries of the near and far abroad. The 5th International Exhibition «Laboratory City» was held during the Congress. One hundred and sixty-seven leading Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of laboratory equipment and consumables presented their products on an area of more than 10,000 square meters.
