Today, in a rapidly changing world, we see an acute shortage of highly skilled specialists in scientific areas due to the difficulties with obtaining full information on the specialties and the lack of a well-coordinated multi-level career guidance system for schoolchildren.
In order to acquaint schoolchildren interested in biomedical specialties with modern trends and scientific areas related to medicine, Almazov Centre organized a meeting on the Medicine of the Future with Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honoured Scientist of the Russian Federation and President of the Russian Society of Cardiology.
The meeting took place on October 24 and brought together more than 500 schoolchildren.
