On November 26, Kirill Kay, Senior Vice President for Innovations of the Skolkovo Foundation and Anton Pavlyukov, Acceleration Director of Biological and Medical Technology Cluster at Skolkovo visited Almazov Centre.
The guests started the visit with a tour of the Experimental Biomodelling Centre and visited Preclinical Translational Research Center with its animal facility, ORs, laboratories and training rooms. After getting acquainted with the departments of biochemistry, analytical chemistry, toxicology, physiology and pharmacology, representatives of the Innovation Centre took part in the meeting with the management and leading specialists of Almazov Centre.
At the meeting, the participants presented the innovative developments. The guests from the Skolkovo Foundation presented a desktop X-ray nanomicroscope and an integrated smart operating room. Specialists of Almazov Centre informed the guests about the projects of its research laboratories. The project “Development and organization of production of linear small-sized static mass spectrometers” was presented. They also discussed the joint project with the Ustinov Baltic State Technical University on the study of various processes, in particular myocardial ischemia, and the joint project with Pavlov Institute of Physiology focusing on the rehabilitation of patients with spinal cord injuries.
Considering the mutual interest, Almazov Centre and Skolkovo Innovation Centre signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
