Scientific programme of the Forum included lectures, plenary sessions, scientific symposia, training seminars, clinical discussions, schools for medical practitioners.
In his welcoming speech to the Forum participants Director General of Almazov Centre Evgeny Shlyakhto noted:
The Almazov Centre has made and continues to make a great contribution to the overall victory over the new coronavirus infection, but now we are all returning to planned and emergency medical assistance, active research work and large-scale educational activities. It is in this context that the Innovation Forum should be considered as an important element in solving the problems of the national project «Healthcare».
Within the Forum doctors and researchers discussed the most topical issues of adult and pediatric cardiology, endocrinology, therapy, pediatrics, hematology, X-ray diagnostics and treatment, cardiovascular surgery, clinical laboratory diagnostics, genetics, neurology, neonatology, oncology, healthcare organization and public health, functional and ultrasound diagnostics. The audience greatest interest was attracted by such topics as: arrhythmology of the 21st century, atrial fibrillation, new trends in hematology, classical and new possibilities for cardiomyopathies and Fabry diagnosing; from prediabetes to cardiovascular outcomes, vitamin D, session “Personalized therapy for high-risk patients” as a part of the activities of World Class Scientific Centre.
The Forum participants praised satellite symposia “Cardiovascular continuum in clinical practice: from risk factors to HF”, “Type II diabetes mellitus. Old problems — new solutions”, as well as the Scientific and Practical Conference “X-ray Diagnostics in Perinatology and Pediatrics”.
More than 1200 participants were registered for the event.
The Forum online format aroused great interest among medical community representatives and became an excellent opportunity to unite Russian and foreign colleagues and exchange new information and discuss topical issues even for those participants who could not attend the forum in person.
