On May 13, Almazov Centre received its first patients with confirmed and suspected coronavirus infection. It became the third federal inpatient hospital to work with COVID-19 patients.
By the Order of the Russian Government, Almazov Centre has been included in the list of healthcare facilities reassigned to provide care to patients diagnosed with new coronavirus infection or suspected of having it.
It should benoted that currently the specialists of Almazov Centre continue to provide high-tech medical care to specific patients.
When the beds of the clinic were reassigned to receive infectious patients, the clinical needs of other Russian patients seeking medical care at Almazov Centre were taken into account.
One third of the total bed capacity of Almazov Centre was reassigned to provide medical care to COVID-19 patients. All these beds are located in separate buildings, so this does not affect the provision of medical care to specialized patients.
