Every year, a special committee of the World Sleep Day chooses the brightest and most significant social projects.
Among this year’s winners are the specialists of Almazov Centre, members of the Russian Society of Cardiology and the Russian Society of Somnologists Lyudmila Korostovtseva and Mikhail Bochkarev awarded for the exhibition About Sleep that was opened at the Health Museum in March.
The exhibition presented three areas:
— Russian folk lullabies – the visitors could listen to them and learn more about the traditions and rituals associated with sleep
— Exhibits and interactive tests demonstrating the medical features of different phases of sleep
— Technologies and devices that could be tried on: devices for improving sleep, normalizing the sleep-wake cycle and treating sleep disorders.
The exhibition featured a series of lectures on various topics. When the exhibition was suspended in view of the current epidemiological situation, the lectures were moved online.
