From 5 to 9 December, the 7th Moscow Intentional Festival of Endoscopy and Surgery was held online. December 7 and 8 were devoted to the issues of endoscopic ultrasonography and held under the auspices of the First National Congress of Endoscopic Ultrasound.
The team of the Endoscopic Ultrasound Department of Almazov Centre headed by Evgeny Solonitsyn with anesthesiologist Denis Laletin opened the Congress, broadcasting live from the OR.
They presented clinical cases involving EUS-guided fine-needle aspiration puncture and biopsy. The procedures were performed using state-of-the-art tools and equipment, and the members of the congress presidium all noted the highest level of this team’s excellence.
Also, the specialists of Almazov Centre gave two presentations based on their own clinical experience in the use of EUS-guided precision techniques. It is important to note that participation in the congress did not in any way interfere with the daily work of specialists.
In this difficult time, online events are especially useful to help doctors and scientists obtain new information, share experiences and communicate with colleagues.
The First National Congress of Endoscopic Ultrasound focused on world achievements and Russian experience in a new, but very popular and developing area – endoscopic ultrasound.
