The 5th ICENS took place from May 14 to 15 in Moscow and brought together specialists in endovascular neurosurgery to exchange their knowledge, engage in live discussions and hear about the latest developments in neurointervention in the endovascular field.
The specialists of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute (branch of Almazov Centre) took an active part in the course.
On May 14, Chief of Neurosurgery Department No. 3 Dr. Andrey Petrov attended the event as a moderator and speaker presenting an innovative technology for the treatment of chronic subdural haematoma. His presentation was received with great interest from the audience.
On May 15, there was a live broadcast from the X-ray operating room of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute. Live surgical broadcast presented a unique case of a patient with two distal «kissing» saccular aneurysms of the pericallosal arteries. Two low-profile flow-diverting stents were implanted with an immediate complete reconstruction of both pericallosal arteries.
Participation in this high-level course involving world's leading experts in endovascular neurosurgery gives an opportunity to share the advances of domestic medicine and, in particular, the achievements of Almazov Centre.
