The III Clinical and Laboratory Forum The Clinical Face of Laboratory Medicine took place from 24 to 25 June 2021.
The Forum focused on the development of clinical guidelines, the search for an effective interdisciplinary dialogue between laboratory services and doctors as well as the scientific and organizational aspects of COVID-19.
The following discussions were held online:
- «Laboratory services: regional experience in providing laboratory support for COVID-19 testing»
- «Departments of Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory: distance learning under epidemic restrictions»
The event also featured an open meeting of the Ministerial Commission on Clinical Laboratory Testing and a virtual exhibition of medical equipment and consumables for a modern laboratory.
Interdisciplinary interaction allows for laboratory and clinical diagnosis based on objective information about the state of the human body obtained through studies of the composition and properties of human biological materials. High-tech diagnostic methods provide clinicians with new information that must be properly understood and interpreted. The attending physician should choose an examination plan, prepare the patient and obtain biological material in accordance with the requirements of a specific laboratory study. In addition, the translational nature of research provides the clinic with new diagnostic capabilities that progressively ramp up.
