The 7th Congress of the European Academy of Neurology (EAN) took place virtually from June 19 to 22, 2021.
Specialists of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute from the Research Laboratory of Epileptology, the Department and Research Laboratory of Clinical Neurophysiology and the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry of the Medical Education Institute took an active part in the event.
The Congress with the overarching theme Time for Action encompassed the topical issues of neurology and related specialties with a particular focus on the neurological problems of diagnosis and treatment of COVID-19 complications.
Specialists of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute presented 16 posters and oral presentations.
Researchers of the Research Laboratory of Epileptology prepared presentations on the topical issues of tissue metabolomics and histoproteomics of focal epilepsy, structural changes in the epileptogenic foci (senior researcher S.V. Kravtsova together with Yu.M. Zabrodskaya, G.V. Odintsova, A.P. Gerasimov, V.G. Nezdorovina, S.M. Malyshev, K.B. Abramov, N.V. Yaremenko, V.P. Bersnev, D.A. Sitovskaya).
