On March 25, Evgeny Shlyakhto was awarded the title of honorary doctor of the Bashkir State Medical University. At the ceremony, he received the academic gown, diploma and badge from Valentin Pavlov, Rector of the University.
The Honorary Doctor title of the Bashkir Medical State University honors outstanding Russian and foreign specialists for their special merits in science, education, healthcare, public and state affairs and contribution to the scientific and educational development of the University. This tradition is intended to promote the development of research, educational, industrial and public relations, contacts with foreign and Russian researchers, as well as increase the prestige and integration of the University into the scientific and educational world. The title is awarded by the decision of the Academic Council of the University based on the results of voting of its members. The honorary doctor has the right to participate in the scientific and social activities of the University, submit their papers for publication in the University’s journals on a priority basis, as well as make suggestions and recommendations to the research departments of the University.
