Almazov Centre hosted a round table on «Topical Issues of Healthcare in St. Petersburg: Challenges and Solutions», which brought together representatives of the city administration and the executives of the Centre.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Nikolai Tsed welcomed the attendees and said a few respectful words of thanks to Director General of Almazov Centre Evgeny Shlyakhto for the many years of work for the benefit of St. Petersburg and the entire country.
Evgeny Shlyakhto expressed hope that cooperation would continue and Nikolai Tsed as a deputy would work for the benefit of not only the Primorsky district of St. Petersburg but the whole city.
“We will shape projects that can be implemented in healthcare, education and science,” emphasized Evgeny Shlyakhto.
First Deputy Chair of the Health Committee Andrei Sarana gave a presentation on the topic “Issues of providing drugs and medical devices to certain categories of citizens in St. Petersburg.”
Director of the Medical Education Institute Elena Parmon delivered a presentation “On the ongoing right of Almazov Centre to carry out educational activities under the specialist training program.”
Deputy Director General for Information Technology and Project Management Dmitry Kurapeev spoke about vertically integrated medical information systems as the basis for managerial decision-making in healthcare.
Head of the Regional Healthcare Development of the Federal Projects Department Alexey Yakovlev presented the technologies to reduce mortality from circulatory system diseases.
Chief Specialist of the Primorsky District Health Department Natalya Krivosheeva spoke about the organizational measures to reduce mortality from circulatory system diseases in healthcare institutions subordinate to the Primorsky District Administration.
In closure of the meeting, district healthcare representatives and healthcare executives discussed the main challenges facing the city’s healthcare system.
