The Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) held its meeting to elect 91 academicians and 211 corresponding members. Two professors of Almazov Centre received honorary titles.
Prof. Alexandra Konradi, MD, DSc, Deputy Director General for Research, Head of Arterial Hypertension Research Department, Head of Healthcare Management and Economics Department of the Medical Education Institute was elected as academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Prof. Elena Grineva, MD, DSc, Director of the Institute of Endocrinology, Head of Endocrinology Department of the Medical Education Institute, Chief Visiting Endocrinologist for the Northwestern Federal District was elected as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Academician is the highest title of the Russian Academy of Sciences given to outstanding Russian scientists for scientific contribution of paramount importance in various fields. Corresponding members of the RAS are elected from among Russian scientists for outstanding scientific achievements.
