On June 17, the Government of St. Petersburg and Almazov National Medical Research Centre signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU). The MoU was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The agreement is aimed at improving the organization of medical care for the population of St. Petersburg. The parties also intend to carry out long-term and effective cooperation in the field of medical education as well as to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of medical science and research for the benefit of R&D projects in St. Petersburg.
Other plans include joint projects for the digital transformation of healthcare and artificial intelligence in medicine; projects in biomedicine, new medical information technologies for innovative products and medical services; introduction of the advanced organizational and methodological, medical, scientific and educational experience of Almazov Centre into the practice of healthcare and educational institutions in St. Petersburg.
