Natalia Khromova
Researcher of the Research Laboratory of Molecular Cardiology, MD.
In 1999, she graduated from State Pavlov Medical University, after graduation she finished the internship in “Therapy” at the Faculty Therapy Department of the same University. From 2000 to 2001, Natalia Khromova was a senior laboratory fellow of Faculty Therapy Department of Pavlov State Medical University. From 2001 to 2003 she passed the residency in “Cardiology” in the same Department.
From 2003 to 2006, she was a post-graduate student of Federal Almazov Medical Research Centre. Since 2006, she has been an Assistant of the Faculty Therapy Department of Pavlov State Medical University.
In 2006 she successfully defended her thesis on the topic: “Homocysteine and structural gene polymorphisms of methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase and myocardial infarction risk in men of all ages”.
In 2007, she was appointed as a researcher of the Research Laboratory of Molecular Cardiology Genetics of Federal Almazov Medical Research Centre (Federal North-West Medical Research Centre); in February 2014 Natalia Khromova became a senior research fellow.
Since 2011 — the Head of the Training Department of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics of Federal North-West Medical Research Centre.
In 2012, N. Khromova took part in the educational program “Molecular genetic and cellular mechanisms of cardiovascular system diseases”.
Research interests: cardiology, metabolic syndrome, epidemiology of cardiovascular disease.
