On September 7, Vice Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev held a meeting on improving interaction and deepening institutional integration of Almazov Centre and St. Petersburg healthcare providers in the provision of medical care in the city. The meeting was attended by representatives of the City Administration, Health Committee, IT and Communications Committee, Medical Information and Analytical Centre, St. Petersburg Information and Analytics Center, Territorial Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund of St. Petersburg, Administration of the Kalininsky District, City Clinic No. 112 of the Kalininsky district, Almazov Centre.
“The integration of healthcare providers in St. Petersburg and federal medical institutions is a crucial matter. The outcome of a patient's medical encounter largely depends on how well all parts of the healthcare system work. Optimization of this process can definitely improve the quality of medical care,” Oleg Ergashev emphasized.
Improving the efficiency of interaction between outpatient clinics and federal clinical diagnostic centres is not only a promising area of work, but also meets the objectives set in the National Healthcare Project to ensure the availability of medical care, reduce mortality from cardiovascular and other diseases, create a single digital circuit based on a Unified State Health Information System. The resulting decision was to create a working group and a project office for the development and implementation of an information system for cardiovascular diseases and integration between the city outpatient clinics and Almazov Centre. In the near future, it is planned to launch a pilot project in one of the city's clinics.
