Dr. Irina Leonova, Head of the Research Laboratory for Diagnosis and Treatment of Pediatric Diseases, Institute of Perinatology and Pediatrics, received the Government Award in the field of education for her contribution as part of a research team (A.E. Tkachenko, A.V. Kagan, E.V. Semenova and A.S. Simakhodsky) to the scientific and practical development “Introduction of modern teaching methodology through the development and publication of additional scientific, educational and methodological literature in the Pediatrics specialty.”
She received the award from the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who highlighted that education is a very important area that benefits the development of entire economy and accelerates new scientific discoveries. As a source of new generations of professionals in all fields – researchers, engineers, doctors, IT specialists, economists, cultural figures, it shapes the future of our country in many ways.
In 2022, eight projects by Russia’s leading institutions received the Russian Government Award with a total of 35 awardees.
