On September 29, the Children's Republican Clinical Hospital (Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia) hosted the 3rd Congress of Surgeons of the Far Eastern Federal District – Emergency Surgery, Telemedicine, Herniology.
The congress was organized by the Russian Society of Surgery and brought together leading Russian surgeons from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk and Vladivostok who discussed topical issues of modern surgery, shared their experience with doctors from the region and held master classes.

Moreover, bariatric patients are initially at risk, as they have various comorbidities,” said Alexander Neumark.
His lecture was followed by a live surgical broadcast of a bariatric procedure performed by Dr. Neumark.
The following procedures by invited specialists we broadcasted at the event: fundoplication of hiatus hernia, laparoscopic repair of inguinal hernia, laparoscopic repair of postoperative hernia.
