From November 25 to 26, Almazov Centre hosted the Training Session for public health administrators and chief experts. The event aimed to outline a concept and strategic vision for the development of the regional cardiology service based on innovations and modern concepts for healthcare development.
The main objectives of the event were to present modern models of cardiology care organization and development as well as practical experience in implementing proven technologies to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality at all stages and levels of care.
On the first day, participants toured Almazov Centre and visited a hybrid operating room, PET Centre, the Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, situational and analytics centres.
The specialists of Almazov Centre took an active part in the event. Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General, Chief Visiting Cardiologist for Northwestern, Volga, North Caucasian and Southern Federal Districts, gave a presentation on the topic “Strategies for the cardiology service development.” Elena Parmon, Director of the Institute of Medical Education, spoke on the topic “Training doctors for regions.” Dmitry Kurapeev, Deputy Director General for IT and Project Management spoke about digital healthcare as well as the main tasks and challenges in this areas.
During the discussion, the experts discussed regulatory aspects for the introduction of innovative organizational and methodological approaches to CVD treatment and models for cardiac care organization. As a result, they jointly outlined a strategy for regional cardiology service development.
