On December 2–3, Granov Russian Scientific Centre for Radiology and Surgical Technologies, together with the Society of Nuclear Medicine, Russian Society of Oncology, Association of Directors of Centers and Institutes of Oncology and X-ray Radiology of the CIS and Eurasia, Russian Association of Therapeutic Radiation Oncologists held the All-Russian Congress of Nuclear Medicine 2022. This is the premier major scientific gathering in the field of nuclear medicine in Russia, which will promote St. Petersburg as a key center for the development and production of radiopharmaceuticals.
The congress brings together leading Russian experts in nuclear medicine and aims to create an interdisciplinary platform for discussing a wide range of issues related to the clinical aspects of the use of modern nuclear medicine technologies, the development, manufacture and production of radiopharmaceuticals, radiation safety and legal regulation in nuclear medicine.
The congress featured a Competition of Young Scientists, including the Competition of Clinical Observations for residents and the Competition of Research Papers for young scientists and PhD students. The goal is to integrate science and practice in the training of highly qualified specialists, improve professional competencies in diagnostic and treatment procedures, present modern diagnostic imaging techniques.
The competition took place on December 1 at the Boiling Point Coworking Space. It brought together 32 participants, including 20 residents, 7 PhD students and 5 young specialists. Prof. Daria Ryzhkova, Head of Research Department of Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics, took an active part in the concept development and organization and moderated the competition for young scientists.
