Specialists of the Neuromodulation Research Laboratory of the Arrhythmology Research Department have won the grant competition for students and PhD holders of Saint Petersburg universities and were invited to the XXV St. Petersburg Assembly of Young Scientists and Specialists.
Another winner of the grant competition was Ekaterina Zolotova, Junior Researcher at the Cardio-Oncology Research Group of the WCRC for Personalized Medicine.
The Assembly is a major scientific and educational popularization event aimed at bringing together young scientists of the city to demonstrate their best projects.
Lev Korobchenko, Research Assistant at the Neuromodulation Research Laboratory, presented the technique for improved effectiveness of radiofrequency catheter ablation, an interventional procedure to treat heart rhythm problems (scientific supervisor: Evgeny Mikhailov).
Mikhail Medved, Junior Researcher at the Neuromodulation Research Laboratory, spoke about the stimulation of the cardiac conduction system as the latest method of cardiac stimulation, which allows to achieve physiological excitation of both ventricles (scientific supervisor: Prof. Dmitry Lebedev).
Young scientists of Almazov Centre take an active part in conferences and constantly conduct cutting-edge translational and clinical research. The use of the latest scientific achievements in real clinical practice enables successful treatment of diseases.
