On April 6, Almazov Centre hosted an extended meeting of the City Clinical Expert Board of the Health Committee chaired by Olga Granatovich, Deputy Chair of the Committee.
Prof. Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, chief visiting cardiologist of St. Petersburg Health Committee, chief visiting cardiologist of the Russian Ministry of Health for the Volga, Southern, North Caucasian and Northwestern federal districts, briefed the experts on the results of the regional project on CVD control in Saint Petersburg in 2022 and outlined the tasks for 2023. Igor Voznyuk, Chief visiting neurologist of St. Health Committee updated the participants on the results of implementation of this project related to medical care for patients with cerebrovascular diseases.
Irina Dokuchaeva, Head of Interdepartmental Cooperation of the Situational Center, gave a presentation entitled “Effectiveness of follow-up medical care for patients with cardiovascular diseases and secondary prevention of these conditions in 2022.” Irina Lobach, Head of Control and Organization of the Provision of Medicines and Medical Devices of St. Petersburg Health Committee, continued the meeting with a presentation entitled “Implementation of the medication assistance programme for high-risk CVD patients in 2023.” Sergey Fokin, Deputy Director for Information Technologies of the St. Petersburg Medical Information and Analytical Centre, informed the participants on the implementation of the Vertically Integrated Medical Information System for Cardiovascular Diseases in St. Petersburg.
The meeting ended with a round table to discussed the improvements in the provision of medical care to CVD patients, which was attended by chiefs of hospitals providing care to patients with acute coronary syndrome and stroke.
The round table was chaired by Evgeny Shlyakhto, Igor Voznyuk and Andrey Sarana, First Deputy Chair of St. Petersburg Health Committee.
