From June 5 to 7, 2023, the Expoforum Convention and Exhibition Centre hosted the International Symposium “100 Years Carrying the Name Louis Pasteur”, dedicated to the anniversary of the St. Petersburg Pasteur Institute. The symposium brought together more than 400 participants from 13 foreign countries (Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Venezuela, Vietnam, Guinea, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, China, Republic of Congo, Laos, Serbia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan), representatives of Rospotrebnadzor, Health Committee, the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Northwestern Federal District, the Government of St. Petersburg, the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian scientific community.
The main topics of the conference were: human papillomavirus infection and cancer: a unified system of epidemiological surveillance and prevention; zoonoses; socially significant and vaccine-controlled viral infections; highly dangerous infections; COVID-19; yersiniosis; bacterial infections, etc.
The conference featured presentations by the specialists from Almazov Centre: A.S. Golovkin, Chief Researcher, Professor O.V. Kalinina, Professor A.A. Starshinova.
