On June 9, the finalists of the 2nd All-Russian award «Orgzdrav: Industry Leaders», organized by the Higher School of Healthcare Organization and Management headed by Guzel Ulumbekova, were awarded. The largest competition in the field of healthcare organization attracted the attention of many heads of clinics and universities, innovators and representatives of healthcare authorities. The competing projects were presented by many public and private clinics, universities and companies.
The Almazov Centre’s team led by Dmitry Ovchinnikov took second place in the «Digital Transformation of Healthcare: Interesting Solutions» nomination with the project «Chief’s Digital Office: Data Analytics for a Medical Organization», losing only to a regional project dedicated to the digitalization of the entire district.
The project received more than 1800 votes at the voting stage, got high marks from the jury and was also presented at the award ceremony at the 11th International Congress «Orgzdrav 2023».
Dmitry Ovchinnikov, Chief of the Consultation and Diagnostic Centre at Almazov Center, project leader, outlined the results of the project:
«We did this project for our patients, and we did it with love. Our main task was to digitize the huge flow of data coming into the Chief's office in order to make quick, balanced and, most importantly, informed decisions about the work of the entire outpatient department.
The direct effect was, of course, an increase in the efficiency of the clinic's management – the beneficiaries were myself and the heads of the Consultation and Diagnostic Centre, of which I have the honour to be the director. An indirect, but no less important, effect has been an increase in the quality and accessibility of medical care: the beneficiaries are our patients».
Participating in and winning the award was not only an opportunity to publicly recognize the achievements of the Almazov Centre's specialists, but also an excellent opportunity to share experiences and find inspiration for future projects.
