SCImago 2023 ranking placed Almazov Centre on the 2nd place in Social impact category among Russian healthcare organizations this year.
The SCImago laboratory (Spain) has published international ranking edition with scientific institutions and universities where Almazov National Medical Research Centre took the 2nd place among Russian healthcare organizations in Social impact category conceding only the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

In addition, the Almazov Center moved up in the overall rankings in the subject subcategory «Medicine», taking 7th place among Russian healthcare organizations (8th place in last year's edition).

In total, 8,433 organizations participated in the last ranking edition, 338 were from the Russian Federation (in the previous edition, 8,084 organizations, including 338 Russian ones).

The global scientometric ranking SCImago Institutions Rankings is released annually by the Spanish-based research organization SCImago Lab based on the international science citation database Scopus. This rating is a classification of scientific institutions and universities ranked by a common indicator including 3 groups of indicators: research, innovation and social impact. When forming the rating, the results of research and innovation activities, social impact, publication indicators in the Scopus database, the percentage of articles with foreign co-authorship, the number of patent applications, the percentage of cited scientific articles, etc. were taken into account.

The Almazov Center also improved its indicators in the RUR 2023 world university ranking. The Round University Ranking (RUR) rating agency has published the current edition of the global university ranking.
The Almazov National Medical Research Centre took the 47th place among domestic educational organizations moving 16 lines higher compared to last year.
The annual RUR World University Ranking has been issued since 2010. The headquarters of the rating agency is based in Georgia. The world's leading educational organizations are evaluated on 20 indicators grouped in such areas as educational activities, scientific research, internationalization and financial stability.
For the first time, the Almazov Centre entered this rating in 2022 presenting the results of the Institute of Medical Education.
It is especially worth noting that in terms of the “Level of financial stability” indicator, the Almazov Centre entered the TOP-250 universities of the world ranking list called the “Silver League” ranking 240th among universities in the world and 7th among Russian universities.
In addition, Almazov Centre improved its R&D and internationalization indicators and entered the TOP-50 universities in Russia, ranking 40th and 41st respectively (65th and 71st last year).
Almazov Centre also retained its position in the TOP-100 Russian universities in Teaching quality category.
