On June 23-25, 2023,in Moscow, the International Conference on Endovascular Surgery was held (XXXVIII Conference of the Russian Society of Angiologists and Vascular Surgeons and the V Conference on Vascular Pathology of the Russian Society of Endovascular Diagnosis and Treatment).
The Conference aim was the presentation of modern methods for vascular pathology diagnosis and treatment, including minimally invasive advanced technologies, the event brought together vascular and endovascular surgeons from all over the country.
The Conference featured master classes, symposiums and discussions on current problems in the aorta and peripheral arteries diseases, interactive training programs in various directions of vascular surgery.
The specialists from the Research Institute of Vascular and Interventional Surgery of Almazov Centre (headed Mikhail Chernyavsky) and the Research Laboratory of Arterial Hypertension (headed by Professor, RAS Academician Alexandra Konradi) presented 10 reports on innovative endovascular and hybrid methods for aortic diseases treatment, new drug technologies for the lower extremities vessels, modern diagnostics in vascular surgery: intravascular imaging (IVUS), advanced technologies in venous pathology, evaluation of the impact of endovascular aneurysms aorta isolation on the parameters of central hemodynamics, methods for diabetic foot treating.
The results of the conference were highly appreciated by the President of the Russian Society of Endovascular Surgeons, RAS Academician, Professor B. G. Alekyan. Such an unusual format of the event showed the importance of mastering open and endovascular techniques in aorta and its branches pathology and creatively combine these technologies to help patients.
