On July 20, delegation from the Republic of Belarus visited Preclinical Translational Research Centre.
Andrey Mironov, Head and Leading Specialist of the Centre's Preclinical Research Management Group, introduced the guests to the structure and organisation of the facility.
Margarita Dosina, Head of the Scientific Department of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus, explained the purpose of the visit:
“In Belarus, there are plans to build a single vivarium for all experimental research in the medical industry, and it is important that, like yours, it meets all international requirements and can be accredited for GLP compliance. We first visited Almazov Centre in 2022 and saw that your vivarium is one of the best ones that should exist today. It combines animal breeding with surgery and research. It was very important for us to see how work with small and large laboratory animals is combined at Almazov Centre, as there is very little experience of working with large animals in Belarus, and your experience is invaluable to us.
At the end of the visit, the guests met with Alexandra Konradi, Deputy Director General for Research, and discussed plans for further cooperation and prospects for effective interaction in the field of science.
