In 2023, 391 medical residents completed their residencies in 29 specialties at Almazov Centre. The graduation ceremony took place on August 29th. The psychiatry and oncology residency programmes proudly celebrated their first graduates this year. Traditionally, all graduate residents will be employed by medical organisations in St. Petersburg as well as Leningrad and other regions of Russia. They will also implement innovative medical technologies in other countries: Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
Andrey Sarana, First Deputy Chair of the St. Petersburg Health Committee, came to congratulate the young specialists.
«I wish you never to lose confidence in the future, to remember that every day you spend at work will be better than the previous one. And at the same time I wish you not to forget that apart from work there is a normal life – don't forget the taste of it», said Andrey Sarana.
Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, congratulated the young specialists and thanked them for their dedication to their profession.
«Today is indeed a very important day, because we have an extraordinary graduation of 391 residents. This is a huge team that will go out into the world of healthcare with the task of carrying on all the good things you have seen, learned, received and mastered at Almazov Centre,» said Evgeny Shlyakhto.
Elena Parmon, Director of the Institute of Medical Education, also thanked and congratulated the graduates, wishing them success in their profession. At the end of the ceremony, Nadezhda Aysina, Head of the Residency Department, congratulated the young doctors.
