In 2023, the Russian Society of Cardiology, the organiser of this annual event, celebrates its 60th anniversary. The anniversary congress brought together some 12,000 specialists from all regions of Russia.
This major professional medical forum has become a platform for plenary and breakout sessions dedicated to the development, introduction into clinical practice and effective use of new medical technologies and achievements in basic medicine. In joint sessions, specialists reviewed the results of various scientific studies, discussed specific clinical cases and new patient management tactics.
Multiple awards for outstanding achievements in the field of cardiology were presented during the Congress. Among the winners were specialists from Almazov Centre. Alexandra Konradi, Deputy Director General for Research, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was awarded the Nikolay Korotkov Award.
Elena Parmon, Director of the Institute of Medical Education, was awarded the Nikolai Semashko Medal.
The Excellence in Health Care badge was awarded to Nadezhda Zvartau, Deputy Director General for Regional Projects, Head of the Federal Projects Department; Svetlana Villevalde, Head of the Analysis and Prospective Planning Unit; Olga Irtyuga, Associate Professor of the Cardiology Department.
Alexey Yakovlev, Head of the Acute Coronary Syndrome Research Laboratory, received the Certificate of Honour of the Russian Ministry of Health.
Ministerial certificates of appreciation were awarded to Galina Kukharchik, Dean of the Medical Faculty, and Yulia Sazonova, Assistant of the Department of Medical Education.
During the Congress, the RSC Young Cardiologists Working Group also held competitions for young specialists. The team of Almazov centre was the winner of all the competitions.
The Congress featured a special exhibition of medicines, diagnostic and medical equipment, modern information technologies and specialised medical publications.
