On 26 September, representatives of the National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET) and Gazprombank JSC visited Almazov Centre.
The guests toured the Centre and visited the Preclinical and Translational Research Centre, Polenov Neurosurgical Institute as well as the main clinical facilities.
The visit concluded with a joint meeting attended by Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre; Vladimir Bespalov, Rector of the MIET National Research University; Konstantin Samochernykh, Director of Polenov Neurosurgical Institute; Mikhail Galagudza, Director of the Institute of Experimental Medicine; Sergey Fursenko, Vice-President of Gazprombank JSC; and Alexey Pereverzev, Vice-Rector for Innovative Development of the MIET National Research University.
At the end of the meeting, Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, and Vladimir Bespalov, Rector of the MIET National Research University, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This cooperation aims to develop devices for patients with spinal cord injuries, neuromodulation methods and neuroprosthetic technologies.
