On October 9, 2023, the delegation from the Ministry of Health and Population of the Republic of Congo visited Almazov National Medical Research Centre. The delegation was represented by: Gilbert Mokoki, Minister of Health and Population; Jean Claude Mobousse, Minister- Counsellor for Healthcare Affairs; Jacqueline Claire Nzalankazi, Director for Cooperation, Ministry of Health and Population; Destin Mossimbi Batoko, Director for Pharmaceutical Supply, Ministry of Health and Population; Adiwa Franck Bokino-Katali, Attache to the Cabinet of the Minister of Health and Population. Honorary Consul of the Republic of Congo in St. Petersburg Jocelin Patrick Mandzela accompanied the delegation.
Almazov Centre was represented by Director General Evgeniy Shlyakhto; First Deputy Director Mikhail Karpenko; Deputy Director General for Regional Programs Nadezhda Zvartau; Deputy Director for Research Alexandra Konradi; Deputy Director for Information Technologies and Project Management Dmitry Kurapeev; Chief Researcher of the Nuclear Medicine and Theranostics Research Department of the Institute of Oncology and Hematology Daria Ryzhkova; Chief Physician of the University Clinic Dmitry Ovchinnikov; Coordinator for Hospitalization Alexey Rozhkov.
Healthcare experts met for introductions, exchange of experience, and visited the clinical units of the Almazov Centre, in particular, Institute of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Hybrid cath lab, Intensive care unit and Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. The guests were interested in new routing procedures, tactics of surgical interventions on the aorta and peripheral arteries, as well as educational and training opportunities at the Institute of Medical Education.
