The team of the Neurology Chair with Clinic of the Institute of Medical Education headed by Professor Tatyana Alekseeva took part in the medical research and informational event «Management of Patients with neuromyelitics optica spectrum disorders and myasthenia gravis» held in Moscow on October 7-8, 2023.
The participants discussed the aspects of autoimmune diseases of the nervous system (neuromyelitics optica and myasthenia gravis), diagnostics, patient routing and new methods of therapy. Professional community of leading specialists and experts in autoimmune neurological diseases revolved the interesting discussions and round tables in new scientific data and management of patients in real clinical practice.
The Neurology Chair experts presented the results of scientific research in neuromyelitics optica and myasthenia gravis and their own experience in management of patients. The key directions of scientific research in autoimmune neurological pathology were considered, and the participants made the decision on cooperation between the leading country experts and the development of Russian clinical recommendations, and organization of Competence centers for autoimmune neurological diseases.
The event brought together the experts from leading scientific, educational and clinical institutions of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Kirov, Nizhny Novgorod, Tyumen, Ufa, Novosibirsk and other cities of Russia. Discussion of topical and complex issues of neuromyelitics optica spectrum disorders and myasthenia gravis allowed collaboration between leading specialists in this area, and covered the important aspects for a wide range of clinical neurologists, neurophysiologists, ophthalmologists, rehabilitation specialists.
