The XXXIII National Congress on Respiratory Diseases was held in Moscow on October 10-13, 2023.
General Director of the Almazov National Medical Research Centre, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Evgeny Shlyakhto acted as the Chairman at the Plenary session «Nitric monoxide — a reference vasodilator of the small circulatory circle in cardiology, cardiac surgery and critical care medicine».
Professor Evgeny Shlyakhto participated in the round table «Prospects of nitric oxide application in medical practice» together with Academicians Alexandr Chuchalin and Gennady Sukhikh. The discussion focused on the concept of nitric monoxide as a biomarker and medicine; new technologies in nitric oxide cations and anions; diagnostic test, test for functional state of microcirculation; methods for selecting an individual therapeutic dose of nitric monoxide; necessity of nitric oxide megadoses; new areas of application of nitric oxide.
Dr. Andrey Bautin, Head of the Anesthesiology and Reanimatology Department of the Almazov National Medical Research Centre, presented the experience of nitric oxide application in cardiovascular surgery and made the presentations on «The influence of different technologies of gaseous nitric oxide application on the functional and morphological state of the lungs, markers of myocardial damage and clinical outcomes during cardiac surgical interventions with artificial circulation» and «Nitric oxide — a reference vasodilator of the small circulatory circle in critical care medicine».
Dr. Anna Starshinova, Head of Research Management Department of the Almazov National Medical Research Centre, participated at the working meeting «Sarcoidosis: clinical recommendations of the Russian Federation» and presented on the topic « COVID-19 influence on the immune response and course of sarcoidosis» in co-authorship with I. V. Kudryavtsev at the session «Sarcoidosis: the results of the year» and «COVID-19 pandemic lessons: mathematical analysis and modeling of epidemic indicators of tuberculosis infection».
