On November 23, Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Centre, signed the Code of Ethics for Artificial Intelligence (AI). The signing took place as part of the traditional AI Journey conference organised by Sber together with leading technology companies at the World Trade Centre in Moscow.
The Code was adopted on 26 October 2021 and is open for signature by all participants of the AI market. The Code of Ethics establishes general principles and guidelines aimed at creating an environment for the trusted development of AI technologies in Russia. The importance of developing the AI Ethics Institute and the need to increase the number of signatories to the Code is reflected in the Presidential Instruction following the conference themed «Journey into the World of Artificial Intelligence».
More than 300 signatories have now joined the Code, including developers, government agencies, academia, non-profit organisations and the business community.
