The 2nd National Healthcare Congress with international participation took place on 1–2 December 2023 in Moscow. The business program of the Congress responds to the current agenda in the field of sustainable development of the health care system, its adaptation to new challenges, the role of health care as a strategic resource for the economic growth of the country. The two-day programme included more than 30 events in various formats. The discussions were attended by heads of government agencies, major scientific centres, institutions and companies in the field of healthcare, medical and related technologies, representatives of patient organizations, as well as foreign experts in various fields of healthcare.
On December 1, Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, attended the session on «Breakthrough Technologies in Russian Healthcare», chaired by the Russian Minister of Health, Mikhail Murashko. He spoke about the treatment of cardiovascular diseases, innovations in health care, the introduction of artificial intelligence into medical processes, improving the work of medical organizations.
During the session, Russian scientists and developers shared breakthroughs in genetics, the treatment of autoimmune diseases and cancer, the development of vaccines and immunobiological drugs, and other areas of contemporary relevance.
