Founded in December 2021, the Boiling Point of Almazov Centre has become a co-working space for like-minded people, bringing together the best intellectual resources in the field of science and education, including schoolchildren, students, representatives of business, government and academia, and the public, united by the idea of popularizing scientific achievements, promoting positive changes in science and education, discussing new projects and forming business ideas. Over the last 2 years it has hosted many events with leading scientists and speakers.
In honour of Boiling Point's anniversary, the Forum themed «Sustainability and Development in a Changing World. Boiling Point of Almazov Centre: 2 Years» took place on December 21-22.
The Forum provided a platform for discussing current issues related to the technological, innovative and human potential of the region and the country. The event was attended by representatives of the St. Petersburg medical, academic and business communities, as well as schoolchildren, students and partners of Almazov Centre.
The first day featured the opening of the School Scientific Society of the Movement of the First Russian public-and-state movement of children and youth; a meeting of the Council of Students and Young Scientists of Almazov Centre; a demo class of the MEDia School of the Institute of Medical Education entitled «Soft Skills in Medicine».
The second day began with a round table on «Working with Talented Children». The programme continued with a discussion session on «Boiling Intensity», a round table on «Skills for New Challenges» and a panel session on «Technology and Innovation Trends: Tomorrow's Organization».
Evgeny Shlyakhto, Director General of Almazov Centre, opened the plenary session «Human Well-Being and Demand in a Changing Technology World: Achievements, Challenges and Cooperation Potential».
Yulia Svetlichnaya, Advisor to Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Ergashev, gave welcoming remarks on his behalf. Andrey Maksimov, Chairman of the Committee for Science and Higher Education, came to congratulate. Also speaking at the opening ceremony were Alexey Tereshin, Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg Health Committee, and Ivan Anisimov, Deputy Head of the Projects Department of the St. Petersburg Governor's Administration.
At the end of the event, there was an award ceremony for the participants and partners.
